Soft Skills

Teamwork & Collaboration
Teamwork is one of my key strengths, developed through academic and professional experiences. I’ve successfully collaborated on several semester-long group projects, learning to leverage diverse perspectives and achieve shared goals. As a Resident Assistant, I worked closely with teams to create supportive communities, plan events, and tackle challenges together. These experiences have strengthened my ability to collaborate, communicate, and contribute effectively in any team environment.
Time Management
Time management is one of my key strengths, honed through years of balancing multiple responsibilities. Since high school, I have successfully juggled maintaining all As, holding a job, and participating in extracurricular activities and sports. These experiences taught me to prioritize tasks, stay organized, and manage my time efficiently to meet deadlines and excel in all areas. This skill has been essential to my academic and professional success, enabling me to handle diverse commitments effectively.

Growth Mindset
I’ve always maintained a growth mindset, whether in my academic pursuits or personal development. I challenge myself constantly to excel, reflected in my achievement of industry certifications and my unwavering commitment to academic excellence. My enthusiasm for learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door; I actively seek out new experiences and challenges that foster personal growth. This drive for continuous improvement is not just about achieving success; it’s about becoming the best version of myself, constantly evolving and expanding my horizons.
Analytical Thinking
As an analytical thinker, my ability to break down problems and organize information has been invaluable across various roles. Whether devising marketing strategies in class or managing responsibilities as a Resident Assistant, I apply a methodical approach to dissect issues and create effective solutions. This skill also proves crucial during my hosting duties at busy NYC restaurants, where I efficiently handle high-pressure situations. Through logical reasoning, I consistently reach conclusions that guide my actions, ensuring success in both academic and professional settings.

Adaptability
I have demonstrated adaptability in both my personal and professional life. Moving from NYC, where I had only lived with my family, to Florida for college, and then relocating again post-graduation to live independently, required me to adjust to new environments and challenges. In school, I worked with diverse groups on projects, quickly adapting to different team dynamics. Professionally, I have been flexible in my roles, taking on various jobs that required a range of skills—from communication and people skills to attention to detail. Embracing change has allowed me to grow, learn, and succeed in different settings.
Communication
Strong communication has been at the core of everything I do. Since I was 16, working as a restaurant host required constant coordination with coworkers and customers—whether managing tables, handling phone calls, or taking to-go orders. As a server at a sports bar for several years, I honed my ability to communicate effectively under pressure with both staff and guests. Beyond work, being involved in clubs taught me how to advocate for ideas and collaborate to achieve goals. Playing lacrosse for seven years reinforced the importance of clear, strategic communication—without it, success isn’t possible. Additionally, serving as a Resident Assistant challenged me to navigate tough conversations and support residents through various situations. Whether in a professional, athletic, or leadership setting, I’ve learned that strong communication is essential to success
